West Hill Manufacturing Facility
The West Hill facility began its operations in 1962 when Surpass Chemicals Limited purchased the current 10-acre site at the end of Chemical Court in Scarborough (Toronto), Ontario. Prior to this purchase, Surpass Chemicals had been producing industrial detergent additives for engine and marine oils, as well as specialty greases, at a facility located on Upton Road in Scarborough for several years prior to opening the West Hill site.
The first operation at the West Hill site consisted of a custom blending facility for a major Canadian oil and gas company. Over the years other production processes were moved from the Upton Road site, expanding the West Hill site to 23 acres. In 1992, the property at 565 Coronation Drive was purchased. It currently houses offices, a research and development laboratory and a finished goods warehouse. In 2010, the last remaining production process at Upton Road was relocated to the West Hill site. The Upton Road site has since been fully decommissioned.
Today, around 70 employees work at the West Hill facility.
The facility is registered under the ISO 9001 quality management and ISO 14001 environmental management standards.
